You’ll learn proper rope handling, safety checks, and communication techniques. Perfect for climbers of all levels, our courses are designed to build the confidence and competence you need to climb responsibly.

Ready to take your climbing to new heights? This class is geared towards the climber who is looking to learn and master the fundamentals of top rope climbing. This class covers everything from proper belay technique using the PBUS method to tying in using the figure 8 knot.
- Free for members / $120 for nonmembers.
- All equipment provided during class.
- No prior experience necessary!
- Climbing partner required.
- Gear shop discount for taking the class.
Class is every other Monday from 6-8pm.
Expand your rope climbing potential by learning how to lead climb in the gym. This class is a great option for a top rope climber wanting to learn how to lead for the first time or as a refresher for those looking to build more confidence in their rope climbing skills. This class covers everything from proper lead belaying with an assistance breaking device to efficient clipping and falling techniques. Must be top rope certified prior to taking this class.

Classes are the third Friday of every month from 6-8pm and the following Saturday morning from 10am-12pm.
Expand your lead climbing potential by learning all the additional skill required to sport climb outside! This class is a great option for the lead climber who learned how to climb indoors and is now ready to transition to the outdoors or as a refresher for the lead climber wanting more confidence in their outdoor skills. This class covers everything from clipping bolts, anchor/route cleaning, and setting up a top rope anchor. Climbers must be lead certified by Freestone prior to taking this class.
- $60 for members / $185 for nonmembers
- All necessary equipment provided during class.
- Climbing partner required.
- Four hours of instruction.
- Class-specific discounted gear package available after completion of the class.
Class is offered the fourth Friday of every month from 6-8pm and the following Saturday morning from 10am-12pm.
